INFO: US LETTER SIZE INSTEAD OF DIN A4
How to print my A4 sewing patterns on US Letter paper
Although my patterns are created in A4 format, they can easily be printed on US Letter paper (8.5 x 11 inches). Here are the steps to ensure all measurements remain correct and the pattern can be used to its full potential:
Step-by-step instructions:
-
Open file in PDF reader
Open the pattern file in a PDF reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. -
Adjust print settings
- Select the option “Actual Size” or “100% Scale” .
- Disables "Fit to Page" or similar options that might automatically resize.
-
Check margins
- US Letter paper is slightly wider but shorter than A4. This may result in some margins being cut off.
- This is not a problem as the patterns are designed in such a way that important information and the pattern pieces are not affected.
-
Check calibration
- My patterns include a checkbox that can be measured after printing. This ensures the pattern is scaled correctly.
-
Print and glue together
- Print the pages and cut or glue them together as described in the instructions. The result will be exactly the same as in A4 format.
